Genetic Experts is delighted to announce that our Founder and CEO Vicki Kiesel has been nominated for the UHL Compassionate and Inclusive Leader award, in recognition of her compassionate, supportive and inclusive approach to leadership.
Colleagues described Vicki as a compassionate, supportive and kind leader whose approach has helped foster a team environment where individuals feel valued, appropriately challenged and enabled to reach their full potential.
One colleague reflected on the way Vicki supported them at the very start of their career, seeing their potential and helping them find an opportunity within the team after they had completed their training. They described how this support made them feel valued and respected, opened doors to new projects and development opportunities, and played a significant role in helping them build their career.
Another colleague described Vicki as a brilliant, effective and kind leader who has made an incredible contribution to the department. They highlighted her knowledge, dedication and the example she sets for others, recognising the significant amount she accomplishes and expressing how much her efforts are appreciated.
Reflecting on the nomination, Vicki said: “I feel genuinely humbled and very grateful to have been nominated by colleagues. It means a great deal to know that my approach has helped others feel supported, valued and able to grow. I feel privileged to work with such dedicated people, and I am continually inspired by the team around me.”
