Genetic Experts was set up by Vicki Kiesel, a renowned expert in genetics, in response to the need for trusted and experienced genetic services in the UK.
Vicki Kiesel is the Lead Genetic Counsellor at the Leicestershire, Northamptonshire and Rutland Genomic Service. She has more than 15 years’ experience in genetics specialising in cancer genetic testing. She sits on several committees, has been an advisor to several cancer charities and has published on all areas of genetics. Vicki has lectured at Leicester University and is an expert witness in genetics. Vicki is renowned for providing ethical and clinically actionable genetic testing.
Vicki previously led a national team of genetic counsellors while running Genehealth UK from 2014 to 2021. As the Genetic Director she was responsible for developing protocols, managing the team of genetic counsellors and providing strategic genetic advice to the board.
Vicki teaches cancer risk assessment to allied healthcare professionals, is a GCRB assessor and also a mentor to genetic counsellors. She has been a medical advisor for a popular BBC drama series and has appeared on multiple television and radio broadcasts. These include appearing on “Doctor in the House” and DNA family secrets.

Vicki has worked with numerous specialists and previously led a team of genetic counsellors at NW Thames Regional Genetic Service in London. She has been responsible for developing local and national genetic and cancer guidelines.
Prior to her work in the UK Vicki led the cancer genetics department at Stamford Hospital in the US and launched the first colorectal cancer registry in the state of Connecticut.
